From there we can work with you and or the cabinetmaker to choose the right timber for the job based on durability and colour, and then handcraft the bench top to make the bench top a perfect fit.
What about freight?
This is a service we organise for you. We have shipped timber bathroom vanity unit tops all over the world and regularly send vanities & bench tops throughout Australia. In most cases the vanities are bubble wrapped and placed inside a specially made box for protection. Because we send a lot of freight Australia wide we get some very reasonable rates on freight so just ask us for a price.
What about the recess for the basin?
- Option 1 – We recommend that the basin/s are cut in by us before we spray do the final coat of Rubio Monocoat waterproof coating. This helps to seal all surfaces and provide protection to all areas of the vanity. To get the size and shape of the basin correct, we get a template from you (this can be sent in the post) and then a location of where the cut out will go. Really it,s quite simple and we ask the right questions to make sure we get it right.
- Option 2 – The basin cut out can be done after the kitchen bench tops are installed. In this case, we send you some touch up Rubio Monocoat Water proof coating so that you can easily seal the bare timber before installing the vanity.
What Timber Is Best For Me?
The choice is easy. All our timber is the same price so all you have to do is choose the colour you like. We can recommend timbers that are more durable than others and send you photos or timber samples to help you make your decision. The most important thing is to choose timber that is kiln dried. All of our timber has been kiln dried.
How long does it take to make a bathroom vanity top?
From start to finish it takes about 2 weeks to manufacture a vanity top. As we are always busy we recommend you give us as much notice as possible.
