- We can make it for you – anything from solid resin river and timber benchtops and tables to vanity tops and more. If you have a design or an idea we can probably make it and remember, we don’t have staff so everything we make is made by a business partner with over 22 years in the business.
- You can have a go at making it yourself. This is extremely satisfying for many people and a great way to save money. We are happy to offer advice and can do some of the stages for you if you need (like putting your nearly finish resin job through our 1500mm wide sander saving you hours of work). If you are taking on resin for the first time, please don’t look at the millions of resin videos online – it’s confusing. Instead try our online resin class (only $50 – coming mid-year 2026) or an in-store resin class.
RESIN TIPS
• Choose the right resin for the job. There are resins that are used for small jobs (fast curing) and resin that is used for big jobs (slower curing) as well as specialist resins for coating the timber. We can help you choose the right resin for the job
• The air temperature plays a big part in the curing process. Really hot days in the middle of summer can cause the resin to overheat
• Don’t be afraid to pour in layers. Just make sure to do the second and third layers about 24 hours apart. If you leave it longer, give the resin a light sand between layers
• Don’t use a heat gun. Use a good quality methylated spirts to get rid of the bubbles
• When it comes to bubbles we hardly ever get bubbles in our resin jobs because
o We always use a good quality resin
o Most of your bubbles come out of the timber so we do a sealer (or two on bigger jobs) on the timber before we do our main pour
